対人的反応性指標（IRI）の4因子で共感の諸側面を測定したときに，
1) 神経症傾向と有意な相関があるのは，
　　FantasyとPersonal Distress（いずれも正），Perspective TakingとEmpathic Concern（いずれも負），
2) 抑うつと有意な相関があるのは，FantasyとPersonal Distress（いずれも正），
3) 抑うつを目的変数とする階層的重回帰分析で，
　　ステップ1で共感4変数，ステップ2で神経症傾向を，ステップ3で交互作用項を投入すると，
　　ステップ3で有意なのはFantasy，神経症傾向，Personal Distress×神経症傾向。
4) 「媒介」の検討。
　　神経症傾向→抑うつの直接パスと，神経症傾向→空想→抑うつの間接パスは確認された。

つまり，よろしくない面を有しているということ。
